If you want to receive updates and reminders about important Troop events by text message wherever you have service, then sign up for text message notifications. For example, about an hour before a meeting,a text message reminder will go out reminding everyone who is subscribed where the meeting is, when, what to bring, what will be covered, etc.

To Subscribe to Text Message Notifications, use the following steps. Click on a picture to view it in full detail.

1. Browse to the Text Message Notifications page, as shown below. (you should already be here)

2. On the right side of the page, you should see the following subscription box. 

 

3. Enter your mobile phone number.

 

4. Enter your carrier. 

 

5. Choose your department. 

6. Click Subscribe. Standard messaging rates may apply. If you have any questions about rates, contact the administrator.

 There you have it! You are now subscribed to the Troop 85 text message notification system. If you wish to unsubscribe, contact the administrator, and he will promptly delete your number from the list.
